| Wavy Chenille
As we have a number of suppliers for our chenille, each product will have its own specifications. The widths of the wavy chenille vary from 40" to 58".
I recommend a light warm wash and hot clothes dry of the chenille prior to use, particularly strong or dark colours ie red, navy, black, brown, burgundy, purple.
Following is a guide to the number of squares you will get from a cut of fabric:
40" (1 metre wide, such as the pastel wavy or white wavy chenille).
6" or 6.5" finished squares, purchase 20cm = 6 squares after shrinkage.
7", 7.5" or 8" finished squares, purchase 25cm = 5 squares after shrinkage.
8.5", 9", 9.5" or 10" finished squares, purchase 30cm = 4 squares after shrinkage.
57" (1.45m) Wavy Benartex Chenille
6", 6.5" or 7" squares - purchase 20cm = 8 squares after shrinkage.
7.5" or 8" squares - purchase 25cm = 7 squares after shrinkage.
8.5", 9", 9.5" or 10" = purchase 30cm = 6 squares after shrinkage.
